Special Powers
Special or Secret Powers are given out randomly at the start of the game, though it is possible to acquire them during it's course (usually through the Inventor or other roles, or Events). They are extra powers you can use in addition to your Role, and are usually more versatile and varied than role powers.
- There are certain rules you must follow when dealing with Special Powers.
- Special Powers are separate from your role abilities. Even when you are unable to use any role powers, you may still be able to use Special Powers.
- Generally, when they are killed, any and all unused Special Powers a player owned are given to the player that killed them. If the player is killed by Execution, the SP's might go to a Governor role, the current holder of a Frozen Spirit, or be reassigned randomly. IF the Host chooses , the SP's of any dead player can just disappear.
- If you are not on a team, you may not reveal the fact you have a secret power or its contents until it is completely used up.
- If you are on a team, you may be permitted to discuss the details of your special power privately with your teammates only. Check with the Host before doing this, however, as it is not always the case.
- If you are not on a team, you may not reveal the fact you have a secret power or its contents until it is completely used up.
- Special Powers may be labeled as Secret Powers, Powers, Extra Abilities, SP's, or something else. If you are unsure if something is a special power or not, ask the Host.
For a list of most Special Powers, see the Special Powers list. If you know a power not listed there, feel free to add it.
