Momentum Killer

Role Description

The Momentum Killer is a one-man team who builds up their strong power as their attacks continue. They send a small list of players and attempt to attack them one by one, with each attack gaining a new effect, strength and/or weakness. If someone on that list dies before they finish, they lose their momentum and have to build it up again.

Role Powers

  • Night 1, the Momentum Killer sends in a list of three people.
    • Night 1, the first player on the list is attacked by a normal night attack.
    • Night 2, the second player on the list is attacked by a slightly stronger attack (e.g. the attack cannot be redirected).
    • Night 3, the third player is attacked by an even stronger attack (e.g. protections have a chance to fail).
  • Once the chain is finished, the Momentum Killer begins again with another list.
  • A list of three names is sent in every day in case the chain is broken (e.g. the second player has already been killed/executed before the Momentum Killer's attack comes around) and must be restarted.
  • The effect from Attack 2 does NOT carry on to Attack 3. Each attack has its own, separate strength.
  • Note that the powers chosen for the momentum attacks may have significant impacts and so must be chosen wisely.
  • The Momentum Killer has a day-kill and an execution stop.

Alternatives

  • The effects of the progressive attacks can vary.
    • The effects may include: attack is unable to be redirected, target's shield is decreased before being attack, target is disabled, target's list is shuffled, other players who target the Momentum Killer's target lose 10% shield, etc, etc
  • The Momentum Killer may have to send in a larger list, thus having more strengths for each successive attack.
  • The effects may stack with each attack.
  • If the chain is broken, the Momentum Killer does not attack that night.
  • Every time the chain begins again, the strenghts of the momentum attacks may change.
  • Stronger attacks may have weaknesses, such as being unable to hurt someone whose shield is lower than 20%
  • Using a power during the day may negate the power-up which the night-attack receives.

Also Known As

  • Chain Killer

Kill Method

Night 2: Target is attacked by an attack that cannot be redirected.
Night 3: Target is attacked by an attack that has a 25% chance to go through protection.
