Lie Detector

Role Description

The Lie Detector is a role expanded from the Special Power of the same name. A person with the Lie Detector role will have a certain number of lie detections they can use to determine if any single statement posted on the main game thread is true. This can be a powerful role if people post the right statements, so the number of times the role's ability can be used is usually fairly limited.

Role Powers

• During the day the Lie Detector can check any single statement posted on the main game thread, and will be told whether that statement is true or false after the following night.

Alternatives

• The Lie detector may receive their results directly after the Host receives their PM, just like the SP.
• The number of times the Lie Detector can check a statement may vary from game to game. A usual number for a mid-sized game would be about 5.
  • The Lie Detector might not be limited in the number of times they can use their role in one day/night cycle.
• A statement may only be checked during the same day/night cycle it was posted.
