Gambler

Role Description

The Gambler is a role that is based completely on luck. It's one of a few luck-based roles, all of which can be very useful if the person with the role is (of course) lucky.

Role Powers

  • Each night, the Gambler can send a list of three players to the MC
    • The MC randomly generates a name of a player in the game (living, dead, or otherwise)
      • If the name generated is a dead player, nothing happens.
      • If the name generated is a name on the list, that player is protected from death during the night.
      • If the name generated is a name of a living player not on the list, any shields or protections that player has will not work for the night.

Alternatives

  • The effects of a success or fail may be different, for example:
    • If the name generated is a name on the list, the player might have their role doubled.
    • If the name generated is a name of a living player not on the list, the player might have their role disabled.
    • The Gambler may be able to choose the success or fail results when they send their list.

Notes

  • The Gambler role above frequently is substituted for Bookie role, only without the ability to choose their alignment.
