Executioner

Role Description

The Executioner is like the Governor in that they both their powers have to do with Execution. The Governor chooses who gets executed, whereas the Executioner can choose how execution can be reached.

Role Powers

  • The Executioner can change the way execution is reached. Some Execution Methods include:
    • Majority - Every player gets one vote. A player must be voted for by more than half the players to be executed.
    • Double Majority - Every player gets two votes. A player must be voted for by more than half the players to be executed. If a player is voted for by more than three-quarters of the players, that's a Lock and that player will be executed. If there is a Lock and another player has been voted for by at least half the players, they will also be executed.
    • Plurality - Every player has one vote. The player with the most votes will be executed.
    • Double Plurality - Every player has two votes. The two players with the most votes will be executed.
    • Representative - Every player gets one vote. The player chosen by the person who has the most votes is the one executed..
      • For example, Players A, B, C, and D are alive. Player A, Player B, and Player C all vote for Player D. Player D is chosen as the representative, and whomever Player D votes for will be executed.
    • No Execution - There is no execution.
    • Executioner's Choice - The Execution gets to choose who gets executed (via PM).
    • Random - No one votes. A random player is executed.
    • Minority - Every player has two or three votes. The player/s with the lowest amount of votes is executed. (this can lead to many executions)
    • Unanimity - Every player has one vote. To be executed, a player must have every single player voting them (excluding themselves). The vote must be unanimous.

Alternatives

  • The executioner might not be able to be executed.
  • The options the Executioner can choose from may be different or may only be able to be used a limited number of times.
  • If the Executioner doesn't change the execution method after a certain amount of time, it may change randomly.
  • The Executioner may stop the execution a limited number of times.
  • The Executioner can frequently be combined with the Governor role, and so also have the ability to choose who is executed whent here's no majority.
