Blackmailer

Role Description

The Blackmailer forces other players to target the player the blackmailer wants them to. They can control who other players target; keeping dreamers from being able to dream them or baddies from being able to attack them. Played well, a blackmailer can control a game fairly well, provided they aren't found out.

Role Powers

• The Blackmailer can blackmail a person each night. The blackmailed person must then target the person the blackmailer selects. If they don’t or have no powers, the blackmailer kills them. If they reveal they are being blackmailed, they also die.
• The Blackmailer may kill one player during the day.
• Being an OMT, the Blackmailer usually has some kind of protection; either a high shield or a full cycle protection they can activate when they want.

Role Alternatives

• If the Blackmailed person doesn't have a targeting ability, they may survive the blackmail.
• The Blackmailer may be able to choose to blackmail a player into revealing their role to the Blackmailer instead of targeting a specific player.

Sample Role

Blackmailer Alignment: Evil, OMT Win Condition: All other players defeated Blackmail: Each night you can force another player to target a person of your choice. They will be presented with a not explaining that you will kill them if they do not target the player you specify. Should your target not comply or be unable to comply, you will kill them. Send a list of 5 people you'd like to blackmail and who they should target, you'll blackmail the topmost living player on the list. Daykill: Once during the game you may kill another player during the day. Send a list of 5 people you'd like to daykill, the topmost living player will be killed shortly after the PM is received. Protection: Once during the game you can protect yourself from all death for the rest of the day/night cycle. Send a PM when you want to use this; you'll be protected from all death until the end of night. You have a __% shield
