Beacon

Role Description

The Beacon is incredibly similar to the Dreamer as it performs the exact same function, but with a twist. The Beacon lights other players up to check their alignment, but they do not receive the results. Another random player will stroll by and see the beacon's effect, thus receiving the results themselves. This can be helpful to the dreamer, as they don't need to risk their identity becoming known to have their results revealed, but it also adds the risk of the results being sent to an evil player, benefiting them.

Role Powers

  • The Beacon can dream anther player to find out whether they are Innocent, Evil, or Neutral just as a Dreamer would, HOWEVER the result is sent to another, random player instead of the Beacon.

Alternatives

  • The Beacon may only be able to dream for a single team or group of teams
  • The results may not simply be 'Innocent, Neutral or Evil.' Instead they may receive other information, such as a colour (e.g. Green, Yellow and Red would correspond to Innocent, Neutral and Evil respectively)

Also Known As

  • Note Dreamer
