Hello Randomfolk.

Well, as all of you know, I haven't been here since February.  There are many reasons for that, but I won't get into what they are.  Shortly before my leave, I was given the position of Administrator, along with Dyl.

I hate to say it, but I was never keen on the idea of having such a high position, as I knew I would end up not having the time to do it.  By February, I was swamped with work, RL issues, and really didn't have the extra time to put into the forums.  I never forgot about it, but I knew I'd be wasting extra time that I could be using doing something more productive, which has lately translated into myself and a friend building a website together, which we hope will become at least semi-popular by the time it's ready to go (that's a dream of his).  That in itself is an ungodly amount of work, and most of my free times has gone there.

Because of that, I feel that having the position of Admin serves no purpose to me other than having a cool red name at the bottom of the screen and being able to tamper and screw with anyone I want to on a whim.   I don't know the current amount of activity that goes on here, but I feel that the position would be better being given to someone with much more experience than I and someone who is going to be here more often that I.

If possible, I'd like to relinquish my position of Administrator and become a normal member, something that scales better with my activity, and it would keep me from just being a "guy with a title", as has happended in the past.

If someone with the power could do that, I'd appreciate it.   Thanks.

However, don't sign up yet, we're still early in the building phases, and we want to do a lot of stuff before we release it to the public.  We don't even have the rules, private policy, disclaimers, etc. up yet.    However, though there's really not much to look at, and while it's still under heavy construction, everything can still be viewed.

We're going to have forums, comments section on each page, and whatever else my friend wants (It's mostly his site, and he's doing most of the "idea" things, while I'm entering most of the data at the moment).  There will be ads soon as well, since, well, we've got to make money somehow.

Anyway, in short, it's going to be a Wikipedia specifically for video games, with all of our information being discovered directly by us, or people who have FAQs who want to provide us information.  We don't want to steal the work of anyone else or have anyone give us stolen work.

He's been thinking about this for a year or two, and while I was skeptic at first, ever since I was injured and couldn't do much else, I've been typing away entering what I have (and it does take a VERY long time).

We don't know any of the code there is to make things easier on us, if it exists, so if you know of any, I'd greatly appreciate it.
